Devastated Vineyard

The Devastated Vineyard & Trojan Horse in the City of God

Dietrich Richard Alfred von Hildebrand (12 October 1889 – 26 January 1977) was a German Roman Catholic philosopher and theologian. He was called “the twentieth-century Doctor of the Church” by Pope Pius XII. Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI also greatly admired the work of Hildebrand. The degree of Pope Benedict’s esteem is expressed in one of his statements about Hildebrand: “When the intellectual history of the Catholic Church in the twentieth century is written, the name of Dietrich von Hildebrand will be most prominent among the figures of our time.“ In 1973, Dietrich Von Hildebrand wrote “The[…]

Indulgence

Baltimore Catechism On Indulgences

The enemies of the Church have made use of the abuse of Indulgences to deny the doctrine of Indulgences, and to break down the teaching and limit the power of the Church. Not to be deceived in matters of faith, we must always distinguish very carefully between the abuses to which a devotion may lead and the truths upon which the devotion rests. Q. 839. What is an Indulgence? A. An Indulgence is the remission in whole or in part of the temporal punishment due to sin. Q. 840. What does the word “indulgence” mean? A. The word indulgence means[…]

Medjugorje: Condemned by Tradition

“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel to you other than that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema!” (Gal. 1:9) In her autobiography, Saint Teresa writes, “I only regard a revelation as true if it is in no way contrary to Holy Scripture and to the laws of the Church, which we are obliged to follow.” The soul favored with extraordinary graces “feels capable of confounding all the demons in order to uphold the smallest of the truths taught by the Church!” If a revelation “departed ever so little from[…]

Act of Contrition

Act of Contrition – Traditional Version

O my God! I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee;and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God,Who art all good, and deserving of all my love.I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins,to do penance, and to amend my life. Amen. Then place yourself into the Merciful Hands of God and await the day when you can receive the absolution of a genuinely faithful approbated Catholic priest. “The reception of the Sacrament of Penance[…]

Dutch Catechism, Alpha Courses & The Catechism of Perseverance

The university of Nijmegen [Holland Netherlands], was where Dominican priest Fr. Edward Schillebeeckx penned his notorious Dutch Catechism, stripping the Church of any essential teachings and identity to accommodate the world. The revolutionaries like Schillebeeckx who were all the rage around the time of Vatican II set the Church on a course that would eradicate nearly all vestiges of Catholic belief here in Holland and, to lesser yet still significant degrees, many other places in the world as well. Here in the land of the Dutch, the Dutch Catechism, which was more Protestant than Catholic, has resulted in such a[…]

Immaculate Heart of Mary

Feast of The Immaculate Heart of The Blessed Virgin Mary (August 22)

In Fatima, Portugal, (1917) Our Lady appeared to three shepherd children. She said: “Pray the rosary every day to bring peace to the world and end the war.“ She also promised to assist souls at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation, who on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, would go to Confession and receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the rosary and keep her company for a quarter of an hour while meditating on the mysteries of the rosaries with the intention of making reparation to her Immaculate Heart. “Our Lord wishes that[…]
